About This Blog

Welcome to AI Governance Developments

I'm Daniel, a GRC consultant working at the intersection of governance, risk, and compliance and artificial intelligence.

Why This Blog?

This blog serves two purposes:

1. Practical AI Learning I created this blog as a hands-on way to deepen my expertise with modern AI tools and technologies. As I research and write about governance frameworks, I'm also getting direct experience with:

  • Large Language Models (LLMs) for research and content generation
  • Cloud hosting and deployment (Railway, Docker)
  • Full-stack development with modern JavaScript and APIs
  • Database design and management
  • Real-world AI system architecture

2. Sharing GRC & AI Insights I want to help others navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI governance. Readers can follow the latest developments in:

  • EU AI Act and its global implications
  • NIS2 (Network and Information Security Directive 2)
  • DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)
  • ISO 27001 and information security management
  • SOX ITGC (Sarbanes-Oxley IT General Controls)
  • GDPR and data protection in the AI era

Two Perspectives

This blog covers both sides of the AI governance story:

Managing Governance, Risk & Compliance OF AI How organizations can ensure their AI systems are compliant, safe, and governed properly. This includes framework implementation, control design, and regulatory readiness.

Using AI to SUPPORT Governance, Risk & Compliance How AI tools, LLMs, and automation can help GRC professionals work more efficiently, from regulatory analysis to control assessment to compliance reporting.
